WE ARE FED UP!!!

It's official...WE ARE FAT!! I guess it's been happening for quite a while, but we just didn't want to pay any attention or really believe it was true. With school, childbirth, bumps along the road and a whole list of excuses, we have allowed ourselves to become obese people.
We are unhappy, unfit, and fed up with what we have done to our bodies. We have decided NO MORE! It is time to change something and drastically. Esther and I have decided to do a 90 day extreme fitness program called P90X. To those of you who do not know what this is, it is an extreme advanced system that is focused on keeping your body guessing while hitting you from all angle with more pain and exercises. We are scared but ready.
All we ask of each of you is support, encouragement and frequent posts to keep us accountable. We know we can do this and we know we can do it with your help.
We will begin by posting our beginning pictures and weights. Each month we will post another set of pictures as follow up to our progress and after each workout we will post how it went and keep track of our progress.
Thank you for your love and support and we hope to get more things like a nutrition plan as well as fun stuff in the future!

LETS GET IT ON!!

Love Jon and Ess

Day 1 and 2!!

We are starting our posts a bit late, but we actually started the program yesterday on the first of the month, but we will just back track a bit.

Our first exercise program was arms and back. This consisted of a whole slew of push-ups and pull-ups, to which I found myself, yes Jon, doing some girl ones! Esther did awesome! We each did about 5-8 reps of each push up set and I did 10 modified pull-ups for each pull-up exercise, modified using a chair and a foot to help me up! Esther did modified pull-ups by using resistance bands, which when used effectively WORK YOUR BUTT OUT!! We felt really good for our first day and we are ready to burn it up!

Day 2 brought us Plyometrics! For those of you who are unfamiliar with this ancient type of torture, it is basically kangaroo training! We spend 45 minutes lunging, jumping, squatting, and SWEATING with an occasional moment of light headedness! It was supposed to be 60 minutes, but after 45, our legs just didn't work. This is only day 2 of our regime and I am not discouraged, I am proud we went that far! Esther was a champ, and we both dug down deep to continue even when we could barely move! DAY 3 HERE WE COME!!
